Social Dances - Ballroom Lessons in Miami....
Ballroom dancing has fallen in and out of favor throughout the years. And though there was a time when it wasn't at all popular, it is on the rise again. The reason for this is simple - dancing is fun!
Besides being a great exercise, Ballroom dancing is a social activity. A Ballroom, or Latin dance social is different from a dance club in that the music is not so loud you can't hear anything anyone else says, making it practically impossible to connect with other people. And though many dance socials offer drinks, refreshments, shows, and a club-like atmosphere, the experience is quite different from that of a club.
Social dances include most Ballroom and Latin dances, such as: Salsa, Cha-cha, Swing, Merengue, Bachata, Hustle, Waltz, Foxtrot, Argentine and American Tango. (Some dances, like Quickstep, Paso Doble, and Viennese Waltz are primarily competition dances only, but are sometimes also danced socially.)
